Conversation...A Poem
I talked to the tree
And the tree answered me.
I said, "Sister."
It said, "Brother,
We are one; the same
Flesh, the same bone."
I talked to the bird
And the bird answered me.
I said, "Brother."
It said, "Brother,
We are all one,
Same flesh, same bone."
I spoke to the sky,
The sky spoke to me.
I said, "Sister."
It said, "Brother,
We are the same
in every way. We are one."
I spoke to the stone,
The stone answered me.
I said, "Brother."
It said, "Brother,
We are one, the same
In every way. But
You will die and I
Will live forever."
I asked, "World?"
And the world answered me.
I said, "Mother, Father."
It said, "Son, we are
Flesh of the same flesh,
Blood of the same blood.
We are the same in every way."
